A new Data Protection Law (General Data Protection Regulation is coming into force on 25th May 2018). As a health provider, it is important to me to maintain the trust and confidence of my patients so the following Privacy Policy will tell you when and why I collect your personal information, how I use it, the limited conditions under which I may disclose it to others and how I keep it secure.

  • Personal data collected in a private and confidential one to one consultation includes name, address, date of birth, telephone number, email address along with any  personal health information that is relevant  in order for  you to be treated by myself.

  • Consent is a lawful base for processing  personal information under the GDPR.  Consent for collecting your personal data will be seen to have been given by the fact of your agreement to a private consultation with myself.

  • I will only share your personal data with your explicit consent and this will only be if I need to contact your GP, consultant or another  health practitioner.   You have a right to withdraw this consent at any time.

  • No personal data is stored electronically other than email addresses. All data is stored manually in locked cabinets .

  • Data will be retained for 7 years.  This is a requirement  of my Health Professionals Insurance  policy held with Balens Ltd. "The records shall be kept  for at least 7 years following the last occasion on which treatment was   given and for minors, it is advisable that records should kept for at least 7 years after they reach the age of majority (18)" 

  • You have the right to request   a copy of your personal data  at  any time.

  • If you believe that any of the data I hold is inaccurate or incomplete, please contact me and any necessary corrections will be made as soon as possible and at the latest within one month of your notification.

  • In certain circumstances you have the right to request that your  personal data  be erased. 

  • In certain circumstances you have the right to object to or  restrict the processing of your personal data if you have a particular reason  for wanting to do this.
